Jourdan Travers is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and the co-founder and Clinical Director of Awake Therapy, a telehealth company providing online psychotherapy, counseling, and coaching to individuals, couples, families, and organizations in over 40 countries. With more than ten years of clinical experience, she has treated nearly 200 patients across a wide range of presentations — from individuals with severe mental illness to those navigating everyday relationship and career challenges.

Jourdan received her B.A. in psychology from California State University Northridge and her MSW from the University of Maryland. She is licensed in New Jersey and trained at some of the most respected treatment facilities in the country, including Promises Treatment Center and Malibu Vista in Malibu, California, and the Lindner Center of Hope in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her clinical approach is integrative and holistic, drawing on CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic theory, and somatic methods. She specializes in anxiety, mood disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, substance use and addiction, couples therapy, and trauma-informed care.

Beyond her clinical work, Jourdan is a regular contributor to CNBC Make It and has been featured in major media outlets including the New York Times, Today.com, Woman's World, and Katie Couric Media. She has appeared on Good Morning America, NewsNation, BBC Radio, Al Jazeera, and ARD German Radio, and is a frequent guest on SiriusXM's Doctor Radio, where she has appeared multiple times discussing topics ranging from couples communication and passive-aggressive behavior to friendships and mental health awareness. She also hosts the Therapy Tips YouTube channel, where she has published over a hundred videos on trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and practical mental wellness strategies. She serves as the clinical reviewer for Therapytips.org, ensuring that all content involving treatment concepts, coping strategies, and psychological guidance meets professional standards.
