Client Terms
Last updated: April 21, 2026 | [email protected]
These Client Terms govern your use of the Therapytips.org booking platform as a client. By completing a booking, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Note: These Client Terms apply in addition to any consent form provided by your therapist. In the event of any conflict between these Client Terms and a therapist's consent form — including on matters of liability, refunds, data handling, or platform use — these Client Terms shall take precedence.
1. The Nature of the Service
Therapytips.org is a booking and practice management platform operated by Psychology Solutions OÜ. We provide the technology that connects clients with independent therapists. We are not a therapy provider, a clinical service, or a healthcare organisation.
The therapist you book with is an independent professional. They are not an employee, agent, or representative of Therapytips.org. Any therapeutic relationship, including its clinical, ethical, and legal dimensions, exists solely between you and your therapist.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or medical emergency, do not use this platform — contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking on Therapytips.org. By completing a booking, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
3. Bookings and Payment
When you complete a booking, you enter into a direct service agreement with the therapist you have selected. Therapytips.org facilitates the booking and payment on behalf of the therapist but is not a party to that service agreement.
Payment is collected in full at the time of booking via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By completing payment, you authorise the charge for the session as described at the time of booking.
Session fees are set by the therapist and displayed on the booking page. Therapytips.org retains a small portion of each booking to cover processing and platform costs; the remainder is paid to the therapist.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies are set at the discretion of the therapist. Please review the therapist's individual policy before booking.
To request a cancellation or refund, contact us at [email protected]. We will liaise with the therapist on your behalf. Approved refunds typically take 5–10 business days to return to your original payment method.
Therapytips.org does not guarantee refunds. Refund decisions rest with the therapist, except in cases where a technical error on our platform caused a duplicate or incorrect charge, in which case we will issue a full refund promptly.
5. No-Shows and Late Cancellations
If you do not attend a booked session without prior notice, the therapist may choose not to issue a refund. This is at the therapist's sole discretion. Therapytips.org is not liable for session fees lost due to client no-shows or late cancellations.
6. Confidentiality and Data
Your appointment details and any messages you exchange with your therapist are treated as confidential and stored securely on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. By completing a booking, you consent to:
- Your name and email address being shared with the therapist you have booked with
- Appointment confirmation and reminder emails being sent to the email address you provide
- Your booking and session data being stored on Therapytips.org's secure servers for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with healthcare record-keeping obligations
We do not use your appointment data for advertising purposes. For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Therapist Independence
Your therapist is an independent professional. Therapytips.org does not supervise, direct, or control the clinical content of any session. We are not responsible for:
- The quality, outcomes, or suitability of any session you attend
- Any advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a therapist
- Any harm arising from the therapeutic relationship or its termination
- A therapist's cancellation of sessions or withdrawal from the platform
If you have a complaint about a therapist's professional conduct, you should contact the relevant professional licensing body in their jurisdiction.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Psychology Solutions OÜ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any session booked through it, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of data, or personal injury. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the session in question.
9. Governing Law
These Client Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Estonia, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Client Terms are reviewed and updated periodically. When we make changes, we post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date at the top. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We encourage you to review these terms before each booking.
