About Oksana
Life can feel like navigating an unpredictable sea—especially when facing the turbulence of relationship problems, anxiety, mood changes, trauma, or cultural transitions. Here, at Healing Harbor Counseling I provide a safe harbor where you can drop anchor and find refuge. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental, offering you a safe space to process and heal. We will work together to identify what is holding you back, discover your strengths; establish coping strategies and then move into the deeper work once you are on steady ground. I primarily use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrate skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. If you are a Christian and would like to incorporate your faith into therapy process, please let me know.
I spent 20 years working in higher education before transitioning into the therapist role. In my free time, I enjoy connecting with nature and playing with pets, scuba diving, salsa dancing, improv and theatre, reading and exploring our muticultural world through travelling with my globalized family.
