The Igniter is the Architect's structural opposite across all three axes: high-energy and bursty rather than sustained, multi-threaded rather than singular in focus, and dependent on external accountability rather than self-directed. Where the Architect builds slowly and invisibly toward durable complexity, the Igniter generates visible, immediate energy that requires an audience and a timeline to sustain. These two archetypes often frustrate each other in collaboration — and yet, in well-designed teams, they represent an almost ideal division of cognitive labor: one generates the spark, the other builds the structure.
