Relationship flourishing refers to a state in which a relationship contributes to the growth, well-being and deeper connection of both partners. Unlike relationships that simply meet basic needs or provide satisfaction, a flourishing relationship promotes personal development, meaningful connection, shared purpose and mutual support.
The Relationship Flourishing Scale (RFS) is a tool designed to measure the quality and depth of a relationship beyond simple satisfaction. Unlike many relationship assessments that focus only on happiness or harmony, this scale evaluates the eudaimonic aspects of relationships—the qualities that contribute to long-term fulfillment, personal growth and a sense of purpose within the partnership. It measures four core dimensions: personal growth, mutual support, shared goals and meaningful connection.
You'll gain a clearer understanding of how well your relationship supports your personal growth and shared goals. This test highlights your connection's strengths and reveals areas for improvement—offering insights into the depth, purpose and supportiveness of your partnership.
